ABOUT

A West Point engineer who spent 20 years inside corporate. Now sharing it.

West Point · U.S. Army · L'Oréal · Tarte Cosmetics · Ernst & Young · NTT DATA · Pfizer

Now I work for you.

I built MYSOUL to give small business owners and Black corporate women the same caliber of strategic help I saw enterprise clients pay millions for. Without the sales fluff. Without the templates. Delivered honestly.

Lana Wall, Founder - MYSOUL Consulting

THE ORIGIN

Where the Idea Started

The seed was planted at Tarte.

I spent nearly three years there watching a founder grow her business into a global beauty brand. Not with an unlimited budget. Not with corporate playbooks. She built it through creativity, intentionality, and a relentless connection to her customer.

Around the same time, I started watching The Profit with Marcus Lemonis. Every episode, a business owner would sit across from him and share what their business meant to them. What they had sacrificed. What they were trying to build.

And every time the conversation turned to change, I watched them resist. Not because they did not see the problem, but because they were afraid the vision they had built would somehow evaporate.

To an owner, their business isn't just a business. It's their life's work.

I kept thinking about the owners who would never get on a reality show. The ones figuring it out alone. Getting sold solutions they did not need. That is where the idea for MYSOUL began.

The name came directly from those turnaround shows. "This is my baby. This is my soul." I built MYSOUL to prove the opposite of what those owners feared. You do not have to choose between your identity and your next level.

WHAT I DO NOW

Where We Might Work Together

THE OPERATIONAL FOUNDATION

How Things Actually Get Built

Most consultants have never operated a business. I've spent nearly two decades doing exactly that.

I started on factory floors at L'Oréal, running manufacturing operations for premium skincare. I moved into product launches and supply chain at Tarte, where I managed 140+ launches and drove $2.9M in revenue gains. From there, I joined EY, leading enterprise transformations that delivered $350M in business growth. Then at Pfizer, I governed a $200M+ global digital portfolio across 30+ manufacturing sites.

Every role taught me the same lesson from a different angle: the strategies that actually work are rarely the ones being sold. And most business owners at any scale are making decisions based on the wrong information.

That's why my work is different. I don't sell templates. I don't sell frameworks I haven't run myself. I bring what I've actually built, at every level, into every engagement.

THE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Learning to Lead in Rooms That Weren’t Built for You

Leadership was the first thing West Point taught me.

As a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, I learned to make decisions with incomplete information, hold myself and others to a high standard, and build teams that performed under pressure. That foundation has shaped every leadership role I've held since.

Over the two decades that followed, I moved into senior roles at five global organizations. In most of those rooms, I was often the only Black woman in the leadership group. Being the only one changes what leadership looks like.

Through all of it, I never lost the leadership style I built at West Point. I lead honestly. I say what I actually think. I care deeply about the people who report to me and about the outcomes we're accountable for. That combination of directness and genuine care is the standard I hold myself to in every room I'm in.

I also watched other Black women in leadership navigate the same patterns. No matter how qualified, how prepared, how proven. Different faces. Same outcome. Advancement in these environments isn't just about capability; it's about learning how to navigate them strategically. And most Black women were never handed that guidance.

That's why I built The Playbook. A career strategy designed for Black women leading in rooms that weren't built for them.
